OUR POLICY FOR PRESENTING THE TRUTH FROM GOD'S SCRIPTURES
When it comes to truth, our sanctification is on the line. In the night Jesus was betrayed, He prayed for His disciples to be sanctified in the truth (John 17:17). Knowledge of the truth has everything to do with knowing Jesus Christ (John 17:3), and it is eternally linked with the salvation God has offered the entire world (1 Tim. 2:3-4). To say that truth is important is an understatement.
But with something as valuable as the truth, which is worth buying but never selling (Prov. 23:23), we must be sure to handle it responsibly. It was the Lord's goal that His disciples grow in maturity, "speaking the truth in love" (Eph. 4:15).

Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
2 Timothy 2:22-26 (NASB®)
In the text above, it was assumed that quarrels were something to avoid. Paul gave Timothy additional commandments on how to avoid such undesired activities. However, in the twenty-first century, it seems that quarrels are the end goal for many endeavors. Our policy not also includes deliverance of the truth in love, but it also is to avoid quarrels, since "The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome." In our teaching, and in our correcting of those "who are in opposition," we aim to be like Jesus, who provided safety from the snares of the devil.
